The Definium 5000 digital radiographic imaging system is designed as a compact, digital imaging system for use in hospital emergency departments, orthopedic centers, and to support most general radiology applications. It provides excellent image quality, image manipulation and dose reporting. These features help make the system reliable and easy to use while providing high-quality radiographic images in a digital environment.
The system configuration includes a choice of tables, a floor column stand with rotating U-arm; GE’s patented digital detector, which captures radiographic images in digital form; and an x-ray generator/power unit. An acquisition and review workstation for image post-processing, short-term storage, and quick in-room viewing of images is included. Images may be transferred manually or automatically via a DICOM network for printing, long-term storage or archive, and detailed review.
